Why not put an empty game object in the hierarchy for the prefabs at the left and right ends (or wherever you want them). Then snap those game objects together? Position of the left game object would be equal to the position of the right game object from the other prefab (or however it is your logic would set them up). Then you could shift the entire hill object to match where the empty game object is. Just keep in mind you would need to standardized how you do your game objects in that they would need to always be at the absolute edge (or at least, consistent to where they match) and follow a naming scheme so the code could find them and get their transform.
